OBITUARIES - THE SHERIDAN PRESS - August 17 2004 Glenn Lillibridge, 92, of Sheridan died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

At his request, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Mr. Lillibridge was born Aug. 31, 1911, in Weston, Neb., to William Edward and Katherine Rose (Kavan) Lillibridge. He grew up and attended schools in Weston and graduated in 1928 from Weston High School. He attended Luther College in Nebraska and was a 1935 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education.

He taught school in Nebraska until the start of World War II. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater.

He came to Sheridan in 1949 and taught here until 1976, when he retired. He taught and coached football at Sheridan High School until 1965.

He received a Master of Arts degree in 1951 from the University of Nebraska. He played football on the university team. He received the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge award in 1960 for his dedication to education.

He enjoyed working around the house, gardening, yard work and traveling to visit family.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, Lee of Denver; and a daughter, Lynn of Sheridan.
