SHERIDAN-- Memorial services for Michael James Chase, 27, will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.

He died Feb. 4, 2008, in an automobile accident.

He was born June 23, 1980, in Sheridan to Eugene & Lynda (McCarthy) Chase.

He grew up and attended schools in the Sheridan area and graduated from Sheridan High School. He married Joni Powers on May 9, 2005, in Sheridan. He worked for Larry’s Inc. for several years. Then he owned and operated Wyoming Pools and Spas. In 2003, he worked for Caza Drilling and the in 2004, he went to work for Spring Creek Coal as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping bowling, coin collecting, working around the house, playing video games with the kids and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife Joni of Sheridan, sons Kaleb and Gavin Chase of Sheridan; daughter Katie, brother Tyson Chase, sisters Danyelle Morton and Nikki Chase, mother and stepfather, Lynda and Bryan Ristau, father and stepmother, Gene and Toni Chase, grandparents, Garrett and Audrey Myer, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Iva Currier, grandmother, Willo Chase and uncles, Thomas Allen and Sam Chase.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
