SHERIDAN -- A memorial service for Christopher John Watson, 26, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Jon Warder officiating.

Another memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at Precht's Methow Valley Chapel in Twisp, Wash.

He died at his residence on Wednesday, March 29, 2006.

Born Aug. 10, 1979, to John Spencer Watson and Julia (Jones) Watson in Omak, Wash., he lived in Twisp until he was 6 and then the family moved to Custer, S.D., where he attended grade school. In 1991, the family moved to Sheridan, where he graduated from Sheridan High School in 1997.

After graduation, he worked in various labor jobs and most recently in construction and coal bed methane fields.

His greatest joy was his children and he spent as much time as possible with them, He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors with them.

He recently had started playing the guitar and was an aspiring musician. He enjoyed working with computers. He also had a good sense of humor and was extremely witty.

Survivors include his children, Robert James Watson, Mollie Marie Watson and William Spencer Watson of Big Horn; his mother and step-father Ron Stellingwerf of Sheridan; his father of the Philippines; two sisters, Kacee Mansfield and her husband of Fountain, Colo., and Jenny Watson of Colorado Springs; two step-brothers, Kenneth Stellingwerf of Laramie and Kevin Stellingwerf of Sheridan; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Jones of Twisp; his paternal grandparents Doris McConnell of Omak and John and Ruth Watson of East Wenatchee, Wash.; one aunt; five uncles; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers and one great-grandfather.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
