Brandi Ann CRAWFORD 1979 - 2024 SHS 1997

Brandi Ann Crawford, born on August 18, 1979, passed away on January 28, 2024, at the home she shared with dearest friends Kimber and Shane Friedrich in Bozeman, Montana. She bravely faced a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by the love of her friends and family.

Brandi's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with adventure, laughter, courage, and compassion. Everyone who knew and loved her is proud of the significant milestones she achieved in her brief yet impactful life.

A 1997 graduate of Sheridan High School, she went on to pursue her academic passions, earning a bachelor’s degree in zoology with a minor in park and recreation management from Northern Arizona University. Her journey of learning continued with an associate degree in applied sciences and veterinary technology from Front Range Community College, as well as an associate degree in applied science and aviation from Montana State University.

Brandi's zest for life extended beyond the classroom, fueled by her love for travel and the outdoors. She explored the beauty of Belize, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Scotland â€" and numerous other locations. Only a few months before she passed, she was planning a trip to Egypt, embracing the adventurous spirit that defined her to the end.

With her innate affinity for animals, Brandi worked as a vet tech in Bozeman, where she formed enduring friendships. Her passion for aviation led her to become a bush pilot in Alaska, and she eventually embarked on the entrepreneurial journey, founding Mutts in the Mountains and later Four Paws, a pet boarding facility.

Brandi's resilience, adventurous spirit, and dedication to her passions made her a beacon of inspiration. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Brandi is survived by her parents, Bob and Sandy Everson of Sheridan, Wyoming. Her Grandmother, Eleanor Cantrell of Riverton, Wyoming. Her siblings: Dee Crawford and daughter Tessa of Sheridan, Wyoming; Jamie (Crawford) Lindemann and husband Cole of Anchorage, Alaska; stepsister Shannon (Clayton) Johnson and husband Laurence of Scottsdale, Arizona and their two sons Caleb and Haydn Hamilton of Minnesota; stepbrother Travis Clayton and wife Anna and their daughter Karlin of Billings, Montana. Her Great Aunt Betty Krausnick and her sons Wayne and Todd of Wauneta, Nebraska.

Brandi was preceded in death by her husband Matt Kohl, Grandfather Jay Cantrell, and Great Aunt Angie Eixenberger â€" as well as her beloved dogs Turtle, Izzy, and Hamms.

We are planning Brandi’s celebration of life to be held later this year in Bozeman, where we will plant trees in her memory.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, you may make a donation that will be used to purchase the trees by contacting her sister Jamie at jamie_crawford@hotmail.com.

Brandi will forever live in the memories of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
