Courtney Devon Luplow, 33, of Sheridan, WY, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at his residence of natural causes.

Mr. Luplow was born in Sheridan, WY July 30, 1977 to Kenneth “Kurt” and Jean (Spratley) Luplow. Courtney grew up and attended schools in the Sheridan area including Woodland Park Grade School, and then Sheridan High School, graduating in 1995.

After high school, Courtney worked with his father building log homes (Banner Log Homes) until his health no longer allowed him to work.

Courtney attended numerous churches in Sheridan. He enjoyed talking on the phone with his friends, hiking in Tongue river Canyon, and fishing with his friends. He had made several trips to England to visit family and enjoyed reminiscing about those trips.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kurt; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandfather.

Courtney is survived by his mother, Jean Spratley, of Windsor, Berkshire County, England; his step-mother, Terri Luplow, of Sheridan, WY; two half-brothers, Drew and Craig Luplow, both of Sheridan, WY; and one half-sister, Alicia Spratley, of Windsor, Berkshire County, England.

Many people in the community assisted Courtney during the last few years of his life. They know who they are, and the family thanks them.

Memorial service for Courtney will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held immediately after the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
