Michael Earl SEVERANCE 1974 - 2022 SHS 1992

January 5, 1974 - February 16, 2022/

Michael Earl Severance (48) of Laurel Montana died February 16, 2022 at the Billings Clinic Hospital.

Mike was born and raised in Sheridan Wyoming where he lived with his parents and took care of them in their final days.

As a boy, he was a proud Eagle Scout and later enjoyed many summers as a Boy Scout Camp Counselor. Later in life, he moved to Laurel Montana and worked at Town Pump where he became a well know and caring member of the community. He wanted to ensure that anyone in need was cared for and was always willing to help. He was a devoted friend.

Whether he was hiking in the mountains, cuddling his cat Night, or playing games on line Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life. From a very young age he fell in love with a good story and enjoyed the books, games, and movies that transported him to other worlds. His favorites included Marvel Movies, the Star Wars Franchise, and The Star Trek Universe.

He was a quadriplegic dwarf. Mike never let it get him down. In fact, especially as a kid, he used it to his advantage always playing the “cute card.” Nothing was ever out of Mike’s reach because he could climb almost anything. His dwarfism was an important part of his life and never a handicap.

Mike left us too soon and it is hard to let go. However, he wouldn’t want us to be sad. To honor his memory, we are Celebrating his Life. Please come have lunch on us and share stories about Mike at The Locomotive Inn, 310 South 1st Street, Laurel Montana on February 25 from 11:30 to 1:30. Come heal by sharing with friends.
