;

Jason Scott Freiboth was born August 18, 1970 to Wade & Dianne (Dirks) Freiboth in Sheridan, Wyoming.

He passed away peacefully at his home, with family at his side, on December 28th, 2010 after a long and very courageous battle with cancer, in Bend, Oregon.

Jason (Eggs) grew up in Sheridan, and called it home into early adulthood. He graduated from Sheridan High School, where he was an outstanding student-athlete. He loved playing sports, excelling in basketball and tennis. After graduating from SHS, he earned an Associate Degree from Sheridan College. He then continued his education at the University of Arizona as well as Northern Arizona University, where he earned an additional degree in Sports Management.

While in Flagstaff, he met his best friend and soul mate, Candy Aumack. Shortly thereafter they moved to Bend, Oregon, where they wed in 1997.

It didn’t take long before Jason found a home working for the Bend Parks and Recreation Department. While there he made a wealth of friends and left an undeniable impression on everyone he met, as evidenced by the tremendous support they gave Jason during his fight. He continued to enjoy working for BPR until it was physically no longer possible for him to do so.

In 2001, Jason’s first son, Max, was born. His second son, Simon, followed in 2006. Jason truly lived for his two boys, and left all of us with an enduring example of how to be a great dad. His influence in their lives will forever shine through in their smiles, words, and actions.
