Christine -Sweet Pea- D. Stewart, 44, of Sheridan passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at her residence.

Christine was born on May 12th, 1967 to Daniel and Esther Romero in Salida, Colorado. Her family moved several times throughout her life, finally settling in Sheridan, WY. Christine attended Sheridan Schools through high school. She married Tim Stewart in 1991, together they raised their two son's, Nathan and Levi. She worked for Wal-mart for eight years where she met and made several lifelong friends. She later worked for the Silver Spur Cafe, she enjoyed the interaction with the customers and again made some long life friends.

Christine battled Melanoma cancer bravely for eight long years. She always kept a positive outlook, even through the difficult times, she always had a smile on her face and said when one door closes another one opens. She was never one to let her disease break her spirit. She learned to ride motorcycles and fell in love with riding. She attended several Rally's and Poker Runs with her parents, sister and friends. She enjoyed reading, especially the Harry Potter series, she loved craft projects, fishing, traveling and museums. One of her passions was celebrating the holidays. Halloween was her favorite holiday, she always hosted a annual Halloween party as well as New Years. She was a friend to so many and to some she was family. She had a special gift of finding the good in everyone. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother and best of all a loving wife. The last couple months of her life, Christine filled her bucket list as she called it. She visited the Cody Museum, went camping every chance she had, went to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida and was treated to a huge crab boil. Christine passed away in her home with her husband, children and family by her side. She will be missed!

Christine was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, sons; Nathan Daniel Romero and Levi Ronald Stewart both of Sheridan, her parents, and siblings; Yvette Romero (Deb Geer) of Sheridan and Moses (Lasmi) Romero of Indonesia.

Services for Christine will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home with members of the LDS Church officiating. A reception will follow at the Big Horn Mtn Eagles #4169 in the Commercial Park, Sheridan, WY 82801.

A fund for her children has been set up at Citco Federal Credit Union c/o Tim Stewart 502 N. Main, PO Box 4067, Sheridan, WY 82801.
