Friday services planned for Neal Stuart Crider.

Neal Stuart Crider died instantly April 1 after being thrown from his horse in Boulder, Wyo. He was 37. At the time of his death, he was working for the Circle Nine Ranch in Boulder.

He was born May 7, 1960, in Sheridan to Dr. and Mrs. John R. Crider. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1979 and worked on ranches all over the state of Wyoming including the Snake River Ranch, Melody Ranch, Fish Creek Cattle Association and Rocky Ross in Jackson. He was a cowboy who loved his work and had a great love for horses. He loved to hunt and fish and was a licensed guide.

He also worked as a carpenter for Ram Construction and Gaviotis Construction in Jackson. He enjoyed roping and was a pickup man at various rodeos.

Survivors include his son, Clancy of Cora; his parents, John and Marilyn Crider of Sheridan; his sister Karen (Casey) Grimes of Jackson; and four brothers, Mike and Kelly of Sheridan, Kyle of Eugene, Ore., and his twin, Nelson of Boulder, and their spouses and children.

He was preceded in death by his brother John, who lost his life in an accident 12 years ago.

Memorial services for Neal will be held Friday, April 10 at 2 p.m.at the Elks Lodge in Jackson, followed by a dinner and a celebration of his life at the Boulder Community Center at 6 p.m. Please bring your many stories. B.Y.O.B. Mixers will be provided.
