Cheryl Ann Wilmesmier McIntyre, 54, of Blackfoot passed away July 1, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho.

She was born January 9, 1958 in Sheridan, Wyoming, the daughter of Robert Wilmesmier and Ruby McNair Wilmesmier. She attended school in Sheridan, Wyoming and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1976.

On June 25, 1976, she married Lynn R. McIntyre in Big Horn, Wyoming. To this union two children were born, son, Christopher (1977) and daughter, Melissa (1978).

Cheryl loved horses all her life and worked with them for many years. She helped 4-H children in horsemanship and showmanship in Power River County, Montana. She competed in the working horse class several years in Power River County, Mt. and competed in rodeos in Montana and Wyoming. She was a member of the Sheridan County Cowgirls Rodeo Association and competed in the Sheridan County rodeo.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Lynn of Blackfoot; son, Chris (Cody) McIntyre of Billings, MT. and daughter, Melissa Simpson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one grandson; mother, Ruby McNair Wilmesmier of Sheridan, WY; a sister, Sandra Hanson of Cheyenne, WY and brother, William Hanson of Cheyenne, WY.

Cremation services are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho. No other services will take place at this time.
