Former Sheridan resident Marylou Naomi Weddle Stroud, 52, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in Brenham, Texas.

Memorial service is 2 p.m. Dec. 12 at Cornerstone Church in Sheridan with Pastor Tony Forman officiating. Fellowship will follow the service. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 8, 1957, in Harvey, Ill., to Norman H. and Annamae (Monik) Weddle, she lived with her family in Sheridan for a time and graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Dail Stroud on Nov. 8, 2007, in Brenham.

Mrs. Stroud enjoyed socializing with friends and participating in card games.

It was said her greatest joy was being a devoted mother, aunt and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her father; her husband; three children, Norman, Danny and Cari; two brothers, James and Terry; a sister, Suzanne; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
