SHERIDAN -- A private family memorial service for Jeffrey Fairbank, 49, will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 13, 2007, at Kane Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.

He died Sept. 9, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 5, 1957, in Rapid City, S.D., to Glenn and June Fairbank. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1976.

He then went on to attend Western Wyoming Community College, where he made the president's honor roll and graduated in 1993 with an AAS degree in respiratory therapy.

He had been an employee of Sheridan County Memorial Hospital, Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Ore., Lincare and at the time of his death, he was employed at the Sheridan VA Medical Center.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Adam Fairbank of Sheridan; his parents of Sheridan; his siblings, Barbara Bennick of Sheridan, Glenn Fairbank of Bonner Springs, Kan., Jeri Bagley of Henderson, Nev., and Dan Fairbank of Sutcliffe, Nev.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Fairbank and a brother, David Fairbank.

Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
