Duane VERLEY 1957 - 2019 SHS 1975

Duane Verley, 61, Espanola, NM, passed away of natural causes on January 8, 2019.

Duane was born February 26, 1957 in Rawlins, WY, the son of James and Sharon Verley. He was raised in Sheridan, Wyoming and upon graduation served 6 years as an EM2 on the USS James Monroe (SSBN 622), leading to his career at Los Alamos National Laboratories where he retired as Facilities Manager.

He was an avid hunter, drag racer, volunteer firefighter and loved everything Wyoming.

Above all else, his love for his son, Taylor, was second to none. They shared a passion for drag racing and car building. He was extremely proud of Taylor and will be watching from above as he graduates this year.

He is preceded in death by his Jenkins and Verley grandparents and parents.

He is survived by his son Taylor Verley, Taylor's mother Anna Verley, Santa Fe, his siblings Jo Forbes & family, WY, Becky Rhodes & family, AZ, Paul Verley & family, WY, and Mike Verley & family, WY. Uncle Fred Verley, Uncle Don Jenkins (Linda) and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

He is now pain free and gone to his favorite hunting spot in the heavens. Duane would want all that knew him to know that he loved and appreciated the good times and their friendships.
