Clyde Eugene BOND 1957 - 1981 SHS 1975

SHERIDAN - Services for Clyde Eugene Bond, 23, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church In Sheridan.

Mr. Bond died April 25 when he was accidentally electrocuted In Louisville, Ky. where he was a student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He was born Aug. 19, 1957 In Sheridan, and was the son of Clyde L. and Mary Jane Bond. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School and Chadron State Teacher's College at Chadron, Neb. where he majored in business and physical education and received a B.S. Degree In 1980. He had planned to receive a Master of Divinity Degree In 1983. During 1980 he was affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church in Chadron and was part-time pastor for the Sunday School. During 1979 he was youth director at Calvary Baptist Church in Sheridan. He was a former dorm council president at Chadron and vice president of Chi Alpha Bible Study, and was a member of the National Honor Society, Future Teachers Honorary Club, National Business Association, C Club and the Chadron Varsity Baseball Club.

He had played four years of American ' Legion Baseball in Sheridan and four years at Chadron.

Mr. Bond was engaged to Donna Graves and they were have been married In June.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bond; one sister, Randy Fann; two brothers, Daniel and Calvin; and his grandmother, Alice M. Reed, all of Sheridan.

Burial will be in the Masonic Circle of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Memorials to the American Legion Baseball Program or to the Calvary Baptist Church of Sheridan in care of the Rev. John Brubaker would be appreciated by the family.
