Robert J. Dunne, 47, of Sheridan died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at his residence.

Vigil services are 7 p.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Funeral liturgy will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Ogg officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Dunne was born Aug. 2, 1956, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Calvin and Wyoma (Cole) Dunne.

The family moved to Sheridan in 1968. Mr. Dunne graduated from Sheridan High School and worked for Fletcher Construction, Poll Motor, Champion Funeral Home, Wal-Mart and Sheridan Manor over the years.

He married Patricia "Trish" Behles on July 29, 1995, in Sheridan.

He worked part time for the Sheridan and Rocky Mountain Ambulance services and was a volunteer with Sheridan Area Search and Rescue.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, playing cards, his dog, Kasper, and being with family and friends. He also enjoyed stock car racing in his earlier years and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife and parents, all of Sheridan; a foster child, Whisper Heath; a brother, David of Gillette; a sister, Cynthia Edwards of Sheridan; and his grandmother, Muriel Wilson of Wausau, Mo.

Memorials may benefit Sheridan Area Search and Rescue in care of Karen Green, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan WY 82801.
