SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- A funeral service for former Sheridan resident, Kathryn Ann Skatula, 54, will be at 3 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church.

A memorial service in Sheridan, will be held sometime in early fall of this year.

She died peacefully on August 21, 2008, at her Los Angeles home, after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

She was born on June 11, 1954, in Olympia, Wash., to Roman and Marty Skatula. She was raised in Sheridan, and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1972.

She was a professional actor in Los Angeles, having performed in many L.A.-based and national touring productions of many musicals.

She is survived by her parents, of Sheridan; her best friend and faithful caregiver, Ali B. Olmo of Los Angeles; brother, Rick Skatula and his wife and their children of Casper; sisters, Debra Mason and her husband and their children of Bellevue, Wash., and Mary Jo Johnson and her husband and their daughter of Sheridan.
