Harold F. JOHNSON 1954 - 2016 SHS 1972

Harold F. Johnson was born to Milton and Mae (Sorenson) Johnson, Sr on March 10, 1954, in Sheridan, Wyoming.

He passed away March 17, 2016, in Mesa, Arizona, after a long illness.

Harold grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming. He graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Sheridan College. Harold was an avid athlete, playing baseball and basketball, running marathons, and even playing in pickleball tournaments as recently as 2015.

In his early 20's Harold began his travels of the world, beginning in Florida and ended up teaching English in Japan for many years during his 20's and 30's. Harold eventually returned to Sheridan and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. He was a natural caregiver and provided loving support and care, both to his own parents, and to many people in the Sheridan area, most recently at Green House Living.

Harold remained a very active part of the Sheridan community until he traveled to Arizona and his failing health prevented his participation. Wherever Harold went, he made friends and touched many lives. Countless people are blessed with the memory of his wonderful smile.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Johnson, Sr. and Mae (Sorenson) Johnson.

His survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Ethan and Natalie Richter and three grandchildren: Simon, Cora and Ruby Mae Richter of Laramie, WY; His two brothers and sisters-in-law: Milton and Carol Johnson, Jr. of Casper, WY and Gordon and Joanna Johnson of Sun City West, AZ; his sister: Roberta "Bobbie" (Johnson) Stratton of Casper, WY.
