Clark "Dusty" WEAVER 1952 - 2008 SHS 1970
;

Clark “Dusty” Weaver, 56, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at his home in Sheridan, Wyoming, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Dusty was born August 1, 1952, in Sheridan to Susie and Harvey Weaver.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Kane Funeral Home.

Born and raised in Sheridan, Dusty enjoyed hunting in the Big Horn Mountains for elk and other big game, as well as fishing. A devoted member of the N.R.A. and supporter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Dusty enjoyed shooting sports with his friends and family. Any outdoor sport or activity was Dusty’s cup of coffee.

Dusty enjoyed working horses and may best be known for riding in Sheridan’s annual Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade every year since 1954 until his passing. Never missing one since the age of two, it was a tradition that spoke the nature of the true grit, determination, love and devotion that filled his heart and soul.

A true cowboy through and through, Dusty believed in hard work, family and lending a helping hand whenever possible. From wearing nothing but a robe and boots to the way he refused to let a horse keep him down any longer than it took to brush the dust off his chaps, he stood out as a true example of Wyoming tradition and character.

Dusty was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Weaver and his father Harvey Weaver, whom he loved dearly.

Dusty is survived by his wife Debra Weaver, sister Joy Foldenauer, brother Jack Weaver, daughter Beckey Bogert, stepchildren John Hibdon, Talia Hibdon and Burton Hibdon, and his grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden, Gavin and Jacob.

Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
