Pete SEARS 1952 - 2004 SHS 1970

Sheridan native Pete Sears, 51, of Casper died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at his residence.

Cremation has taken place. Services were Friday at Word Christian Fellowship in Casper. Newcomer Family Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sears was born June 7, 1952, in Sheridan to George Isiah and Betty Lou (Good) Sears. He grew up and attended school in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1976. He was honorably discharged. He served 21 years with Army National Guard as a cook in Sheridan.

He worked for UPS for 27 years, the last six in Casper.

He married Loree Carl on Jan. 19, 1996, in Sheridan.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, photography, car races, bird-watching, his animals and quiet time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Tim Sears and Josh Hando, both of Sherridan, and Jake Sears and Joseph Leatherberry, both of Casper; two brothers, Chris of Mesa, Ariz., and Dan of Sheridn; a sister, Georgeanne Sears of Sheridan; and two granddaughters.
