Gary L. Plachek, 58, of Sheridan died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at his residence.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Beaver Creek Saloon. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home.

Born Sept. 26, 1951, to Louis Henry Plachek and Della Mae Sneath in Sheridan, he enjoyed cards, fishing, social gatherings and dartball.

He was a fan of the New York Yankees and John Wayne.

He could speak Polish and Spanish in addition to English.

Mr. Plachek enjoyed making Polish whiskey from an old country recipe and was involved with the Sheridan Dartball Association and The Bohingi Boys.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Claudia Kay Gifford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may benefit Sheridan Dog & Cat Shelter, 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801.
