Evelyn ILSLEY Ebzery 1952 - 2011 SHS 1970

Sheridan resident Evelyn Ebzery, 59, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at Sheridan Memorial hospital.

Evelyn Ilsley Ebzery was born January 18, 1952 to Judge John and Helen Ilsley in Gillette, WY. The family moved to Sheridan in 1964 where Ev graduated high school in 1970. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO for two years, graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Marketing in 1973.

Evelyn was united in marriage to William B. Ebzery in 1972. The couple moved to Denver, CO where Ev was employed by the Denver Dry Goods as a retail buyer. In 1976 the young couple moved back to Sheridan. Evelyn was employed by United States Senator Malcolm Wallop as his field representative until 1992.

Active in her community, she served on the Sheridan Memorial Hospital board for ten years, serving as chair for five years. She was also a member of the Sheridan Library Foundation, Republican Women and P.E.O.

Evelyn lived an active life and enjoyed swimming, golf and tennis. She especially enjoyed riding her horse Magic in the Big Horn Mountains at Teepee. Traveling with her family and friends was special to Evelyn.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Bill; children Matthew Ebzery of Sheridan and Katharine (Matt) Parker of Chicago, Il; her brother Harry (Correne) Ilsley of Borrego Springs, CA and sister Vicki Curren of Denver, CO. She also leaves many nieces and nephews who will miss her.

Cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. A reception will be held at the Sheridan Inn immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Welch Cancer Center in care of Ada Kirven at 1585 W. 5th St., Sheridan, WY.
