SHERIDAN -- Memorial services for William R. Gaskill, 55, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Inurnment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

He died Oct. 12, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 24, 1952, in Sheridan to Clarence E. and Thelma (Lee) Gaskill. He grew up and attended Sheridan schools, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1970. He then attended Sheridan College where he studied art and photography.

He worked for Carl's IGA before going to work at the Wyoming Sawmills in 1982. He was working at the sawmill as a planer operator at the time of his death.

He enjoyed photography, Sheridan Bronc football and basketball and sports of any kind. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He could always make people smile. He was a true and loyal friend and will be truly missed.

Survivors include two nephews, Lee Gaskill of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Ron Gaskill of Laurel, Mont., and family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Memorials may be made to the Sheridan Animal Shelter, 84 E. Ridge Ln., Sheridan, 82801.
