Virginia "Ginny" E. Smith, 64, passed away on July 11, 2016 at her home in Sugar Grove, IL, surrounded by her family.

Ginny was born on September 26, 1951 in Sheridan, WY, to Roy and Hazel (Salveson) Davis. She was an extraordinary wife, mom, nana, faithful servant of God and immediate friend to anyone she met. Ginny graduated from Sheridan High School and Sheridan Jr. College.

She selflessly devoted herself to her family and enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, nature and being active. Ginny rejoiced in all the simple pleasures of life, nothing too small to be grateful for. Her faith, strength, courage, compassion, positive attitude and resilience is an inspiration to all who knew Ginny.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and her sister, Sarah.

Surviving her is husband Clyde "CJ"; daughter Emily (Andrew) Bingley and family of Sugar Grove, IL; son Mike (Julie) Smith and family of Gillette, WY; 7 grandchildren, Kourtni, Kaity, Ethan, Sarah, Jack, Nick & Elly; brothers, Ray of Las Vegas, NV & Hal of Billings, MT.

A Celebration of Ginny's Life will be held between 4 and 6 pm at New Life Church, 3205 Cannonball Trail, Yorkville, IL on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, National Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Diabetes Association.
