Everett Duane Crook, 60, of Sheridan, WY died Thursday, November 10, 2011, in his Sheridan home.

Duane was born December 19, 1950, in Sheridan to Pete & Nadine (Neff) Crook.

He grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan.

Duane married June Taylor in October, 1973, and they had two daughters. They divorced in 1992.

He went to work for Qwest in 1973 and retired as construction manager in 2009.

Duane married Cheryl Miller on February 4, 1994. After retiring from Qwest, he worked for Valley Motor Honda until May, 2011.

Duane was an active member of First Baptist Church serving as Deacon and chairing numerous committees.

He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, traveling, and reading and loved spending time with his children and grandson.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Dick Linley.

Duane is survived by his wife Cheryl; daughters Jessica McClure & husband Greg of Littleton, CO and Melissa Gatley & husband Dan of Billings, MT; grandson Jackson Andrew Gatley; sister Diana Archerd & husband Jim; niece Brandi Robinson; special Aunt Wyoma ‘Butch’ Linley; and Cheryl’s extended Miller family.

Memorial service will be 11:00am on Monday (Nov. 14th) from First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Doolin officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
