OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - April 5, 2001

DOUGLAS - Funeral services for Lee Donald "Don" Vandusen Jr, 49, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Converse Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Martin Strom of Congregational United Church of Christ officiating.  Interment will be in Douglas Park Cemetery.

He died March 31, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.  He was born Aug. 13, 1951 in Belle Fourche, S.D., the son of Lee Donald and Ruth Mildred (Hart) Vandusen Sr.   The family moved to Sheridan, where he was raised and educated.

While in Sheridan, he met his wife and companion of 25 years, Edna D. (Fisher) DeLuna.  They moved to Douglas in 1975 where he worked for various oilfield companies, including Chippewa Construction Co.  He worked as a pusher in the oilfields.

He enjoyed woodworking and working with cars.

Survivors include his wife of Douglas; seven children, Donald Vandusen of Belle Fourche, Joshua DeLuna, Lindsay DeLuna and Raoul DeLuna, all of Douglas, Rena Pinter and Rene DeLuna, both of Sheridan, and Susan Davies of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Townsend of Denver; two nephews; two brothers, Robert Townsend of Langley, Okla., and Richard Kuntz of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Adan DeLuna.
