Lorena Annette "Rena" YORIO 1949 - 2013 SHS 1968

Lorena "Rena" Annette Yorio, 64, passed away at her Mount Vernon, Washington home on December 10, 2013.

Rena was born December 12, 1949 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Albert "Nips" Yorio and Lois Anderson Yorio. She lived in Monarch until she was 4 years old when her family moved to Sheridan. She attended Holy Name school and Sheridan High School, graduating in 1968. She was chosen as Sheridan County Junior Miss that same year. She also attended Sheridan College.

She enjoyed the outdoors. In her youth, she spent many summers with her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in North Dakota. She was an avid softball player. She loved to go ice fishing with her dad at Lake DeSmet.

She was an amazing gardener. Rena touched countless lives and enjoyed living in Wyoming, Oregon, Florida and Washington. While in Florida, she would spend spend hours walking the beach looking for shark's teeth, and when she moved to Washington, she would scour the beaches for sea glass.

She was an awesome cook. She loved cooking for family and friends and always made sure that no one was hungry.

But most of all, Rena loved and treasured her family. She doted on her grandchildren, children, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins... And of course her dogs Otis and Dante.

Rena is survived by her children Chelsey and Dorel Roberts of Sheridan, WY and Jesse and Lynn Kinnison of Seattle, WA, by her siblings Albert and Terry Yorio of Mount Vernon, WA, Loren and Judy Yorio of Sarasota, FL and Linda Yorio of Sheridan, WY, her grandchildren Lauren and Noah Smith of Sheridan, WY, along with several Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.

A memorial service and celebration of her life, will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:30 at the Big Horn Women's Club, Big Horn WY. Please join us in remembering our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She was simply amazing and will forever be in our hearts.
