John L. Kobielusz Jr. Passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at his home in Las Vegas after fighting a long battle with cancer.

John L. Kobielusz Jr. was born on December 28, 1949, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to John L. Kobielusz Sr. And Marie (Schwabauer) Kobielusz of Sheridan.

While living in Sheridan, John worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for over 30 years, where he worked as a brakeman/conductor until retiring in 2002 due to his illness.

While living in Sheridan, John and Connie enjoyed going to antique auctions, movies, and spending Sundays at the family ranch playing cards, and enjoying family. They were involved with the Kalif Shrine Center for many years, John was Past Potentate of Kalif Shrine, he was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge #8 of Sheridan.

John and Connie attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

In 2003 they moved to Las Vegas Nevada, to be closer to major medical, warmer weather and to further Connie’s career with the Veteran’s Administration.

While living in Las Vegas they enjoyed Connie’s family, having neighborhood pool parties, going to shows, and visiting the cites.

John and Connie are members of the Green Valley Baptist church of Henderson, Nevada.

John was preceded in death by his father John L. Kobielusz.

John is survived by his wife Connie Callier Kobielusz, of Las Vegas, NV. daughter, Tara Lynn Kobielusz, of Casper, WY, his mother Marie Kobielusz, of Sheridan, WY, sister, Shirley Schuman (Les), Sheridan, WY, niece, Kristi Long of Casper, WY, nephew, Leslie Schuman of Billings, MT.

Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, with Reverend Kevin Jones and Rob Boyd officiating. A Masonic Burial will follow in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Kalif Shrine.
