Robert "Bob" Carl Hammontree, 62, of Sheridan passed away at his residence on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Bob was born on May 3, 1950 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Harold Ray and Jean (Sanderson) Hammontree. He was raised in Sheridan, graduated from Sheridan High School in 1968. He liked camping, fishing, hunting, reading, and especially working with cars, he was a lifelong mechanic.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Dayle Meyers of Sheridan, WY, Robert (Myra) Meyers of Gillette, WY, Jennifer Russell of Sheridan, WY, Jessica (Chad) Main of Williston, N.D., Samantha Hammontree of Casper, WY, Tasha Nevel of Sheridan, WY, his brother Richard (Shirley) Hammontree of Thornton, CO, and fourteen grandchildren.

Memorials to honor Bob can be made to the Welch Cancer Center, 1585 W. 5th St., Sheridan, WY 82801.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a Graveside Service held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery in the Oddfellows section.
