Sandra was born in Billings, MT and was raised in Roundup, MT until 1965. She moved with family to Sheridan, WY where she graduated from Sheridan High School and attended one year at Sheridan College.

Sandra then moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the F.B.I for five years.

She left F.B.I. to pursue her education at George Mason University for two years. Sandra moved back to Billings, MT, where she graduated from Eastern Montana College with a bachelors in education.

She met and married Dave Collins and taught school for several years before relocating to Denver, CO where they both sold real estate and adopted a baby boy, Benjamin.

In 2002, Sandy moved back to Sheridan with her husband and son where over the years she worked as an educator for NSI, office manager for St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and as a private tutor for the School District.

Sandy enjoyed gardening, handwork, golfing and bridge.

She is survived by best friend and ex-husband, Dave Collins, her son, Benjamin, her parents, Ed and Rose Marie Nicholson, her sister, Diane Ballek and husband Ken, her brother Don Nicholson, niece Tennyson, and nephews Justin, Brian and Nic.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Thomas Ogg officiating. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Senior Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.
