On November 24th, 1948, Carole Anne Kobielusz Morgan was born weighing 2 ¼ lbs and 3 months premature. Defying the odds of a preemie, she slept in a shoebox by a fire and quickly adopted the name, Dolly, becoming the fighter we have all learned to admire. November 12, 2017, she was just too stubborn to live any longer. Enduringly, the talented and compassionate staff at Swedish Hospital did all they could to talk her out of it, but instead, making the decision like always, she opted to reunite with family and friends that she had not seen in quite awhile.

Her journey home guaranteed a stop by her family ranch outside of Sheridan WY. A place Carole had returned to nearly every summer for her two-week vacation. Over forty-plus years she lived and managed restaurants in Denver Co. and Laramie Wy. While she was a trusted and steadfast business-woman, she would have rather been bailing hay, tending to bum lambs, milking cows, camping, fishing and most of all... grooming horses. Carole was quite an accomplished horsewoman, and her love for critters, at times, superseded her love of classic country music. Most notably when it came to her childhood horse Christmas.

If you went up to Carole and said… William Shakespeare once wrote: "Thou know'st 'tis common; all that lives must die, Passing through nature to eternity." She'd rebuttal in a raspy voice… Alan Jackson once wrote: "And if I had it to do all over, I'd do it all over again . If tomorrow I found one more chance to begin I'd love you all over again."

Carole was a devout Catholic, caring mother, rock-solid sister, boss of bosses and the epitome of a first-rate Aunt . We're pretty sure she's dining at a multitude of restaurants, laughing until her eyes can't stop watering, binge-watching Dallas and Gunsmoke with Buster Sellers (her longtime partner) and canning vegetables with her parents Joe and Kathryn Kobielusz.

That said, she did, as always, leave detailed instructions for her son Joe (Spike) Morgan and daughter-in-law Tamme Aiken of Englewood, Colorado, granddaughters Aryanna Morgan of Englewood, Colorado and Olivia Samson of Torrington, Wyoming, grandson Dominic Aiken of Englewood, Colorado, great-granddaughter Cora Paules of Torrington, Wyoming, sisters Kathleen Johnson and Connie Kobielusz, her two brothers Alan John and Frank Kobielusz, all of Sheridan, Wyoming, and her thirty plus nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews… "TAKE CARE OF MY DOG RUBY!"

We'd like to let her know the heartache of her loss is still so fresh and our hearts mournful as we miss her dearly. Through our immediate tears, we will remember her smile, her love for life, her warmth, passion and the joy of being around family and friends regularly. Her son and nephews will remember her by the ability to break out a wooden spoon to reestablish authority as quick as a hiccup! Although she was confined to a wheelchair and dealt with health issues later in life, she never deterred from lending a helping hand to those who needed it more than she; because her condition was never as bad as their plight. And that is simply who she was.
