On Friday, November 5th, 2021, Donald (Don) Thomas Dellit passed away at peace in his home with his loving wife and children at his side.

Don was the firstborn of George and Arlyene Dellit on September 28th, 1948, in Sheridan Wyoming. Don attended the Sheridan School systems to the day he graduated and entered the Army.

Don was active infantry during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the Army May 1970. That year, on December 12, 1970, he married Lynn Clark; the loving wife that he would spend just short of the next 51 years of his life with. Together they had two children, Michelle Dellit (Ohlson) and Kyle Dellit. Don and Lynn loved family, friends, and the outdoors all their Sheridan years.

Don gave 37 years working the Veteran’s Administration in Sheridan . His career at the VA started in the physical therapy department, in the Biomedical field, and culminated in the FMS department.

With his retirement in 2006, Don and Lynn began their snowbird years in Yuma Arizona. In 2012 Don and Lynn committed to Yuma as their permanent home. They spent their years in Yuma with friends and family playing in the hills and deserts in their detailed and restored 1971 VW bug; “Where the pavement ends, and the dirt road begins”. Don was preceded in death by his twin David Dellit and his parents George and Arlyene Dellit.

Don is survived by spouse Lynn Dellit, his children Michelle (Bill) Ohlson, Kyle Dellit; grandchildren; James (Kenzi) Westika, William T. (Ashley) Ohlson, Ethan (Fallon) Dellit, Quinn (Haven) Dellit, Jace Dellit, and Kingsley Larson; his siblings Bob (Frances) Dellit, Rick (Kathy) Dellit, Donna (Terry) Mines.

Don was known and loved as a man eager to laugh, help, and relax with all he met. His detailed nature made him a resource for friends and family; there was little that Don could not repair.

There will be a celebration of life in Sheridan Wyoming in the summer of 2022.
