Susanne NANCE Boedecker 1949 - 2007 SHS 1966
; On Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Susanne Nance Boedecker, went to be with our Lord.

She was born May 19, 1949, to Ruth and Marcus Nance, the youngest of three children, she was always the shining light in her family. She was raised on the U Cross ranch in Birney. The ranch was always a place near and dear to her heart and created the foundation for her life.

She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1966 and, after graduation, spent one year attending college in Arizona. She then transferred to Eastern Montana College, where she met the love of her life, Brett Boedecker. They were married at the U Cross Ranch on Sept. 13, 1969, and proceeded to finish their education at the University of Montana. During their marriage, they were blessed with three children, Brock, Ruth and Beth, whom she truly loved and they loved her. Throughout her life, she had so many friends and touched so many lives. Besides her family, her greatest loves were literature and fine art. She was always found curled up in her favorite chair reading a book with one of her cherished dogs at her feet throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Marcus; and her beloved Aunt B and Uncle Joe. She was a devoted daughter to both of her parents to the very end of both of their lives.

She will be sorely missed by her favorite and only grandchildren, Max, Drew and Mamie, and will never be replaced by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, she would have enjoyed donations made in her honor to Big Brothers & Sisters and Parmly Billings Library Foundation.

She is survived by her husband, Brett Boedecker; her son, Brock Boedecker and his wife and son, Kellie and Drew; her daughter, Ruth and Koly Hertel and their two children, Max and Mamie; her daughter, Elizabeth and Jason Schneider; her faithful brother, Jay Nance; her brother, Mark Nance; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Harvest Church, 1235 W. Wicks Lane. A reception will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Yellowstone Country Club.
