OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - December 23 2005

RECLUSE -- A graveside service for Recluse resident George Kluver, 57, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, in Recluse.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette.

He died Dec. 20, 2005, on his grandparents' ranch in Recluse, where he had lived and worked.

Born Feb. 22, 1948, in Gillette, he was the son of Audrey (Rule) and William Kluver; was raised and educated in Campbell County and attended Campbell County High School until 1965; and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1966.

He married Mollie Sickler on Dec. 3, 1966, in Sheridan.

An oilfield pumper for 29 years with Apache Oil Corp., he also worked at Spotted Horse Bar and Pines Lodge.

He loved the Recluse/Spotted Horse area and Wyoming, his family, friends, life, and nature; and enjoyed watching birds and wildlife on the ranch. Other interests included watching The Weather Channel; John Deere tractors; woodworking; camping and fishing in the Big Horn Mountains and at Lake DeSmet; the Denver Broncos; and NASCAR's Tony Stewart.

He was a member of Sunshine 4-H, FFA Gillette Chapter, and Recluse Petroleum Club.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years of Recluse; two sons and their wives, Mike Kluver of Mechanicsville, Va., and Daniel Kluver of Gillette; a granddaughter; a grandson; his mother of Henderson, Nev.; sister, Carol (Kluver) McGee, and her husband; two nephews; a niece; and brother, Bill Kluver of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Marie (Hood) and Eric Rule and Cleo (Gladfelder) and Henry Kluver.
