LeRoy W. Cotton, 61, of Sheridan, WY died Saturday, October 17, 2009, in the V.A. Medical Center, Sheridan.

LeRoy was born April 18, 1948, in Sheridan to George & Bonnie (Smith) Cotton.

LeRoy grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Viet Nam.

After the service, he worked at Bino?s Grocery until 1976 when he joined the Sheridan Police Dept. and served until 1984. Then he worked at a service station, Tour Ice and Duane Appliance.

LeRoy married Becky Pollard in August 24, 2001 in Sheridan.

He then attended truck driving school and became an owner/operator of his own truck.

LeRoy was a 33rd degree Mason in Masonic Lodge #43, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and a life member of the VFW.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his mother.

LeRoy is survived by his wife Becky of Sheridan; son Jason of Flagstaff, AZ; step daughter Christi Czapansky of England; brothers Sam of Sheridan and John of Colorado; sisters Georgia Cotton and April Hirchert both of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11:00am on Monday (Oct. 26th) in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Masonic Section, with Masonic Lodge officers officiating. Military rites are by the American Legion and Wyoming National Guard. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
