Peggy Lynn STURDEVANT Prill 1947 - 2020 SHS 1965

Peggy Lynn Sturdevant Prill, of Palmer, Alaska, died Sunday March 22, 2020, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Peggy was born May 19, 1947 to Audra J and Minnie F Sturdevant. She grew up in the Sheridan area. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart David (Skip) Prill on New Year’s Eve 1966. They were married for 53 years. Peggy loved camping and fishing with her family and spent a lot of time on the Bighorn Mountains. She also enjoyed the races at the Sheridan Raceway.

Peggy worked as an aide at Eventide for a couple years while her husband served in Vietnam. She also worked as a secretary for the family business for many years. Peggy moved to Alaska with her husband and two children in 1980, where she lived for 40 years.

Peggy enjoyed sewing and many crafts. She learned to bead from an Athabascan native. This became her passion. She won Grand Champion and first place for her beadwork that she entered in the Alaska State Fair. One of her favorite things was beading with her friends and teaching her three granddaughters how to bead as well.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Dodie Carstensen.

She is survived by her husband David (Skip) Prill, of Alaska; Daughter Tina L. Prill, of Casper, WY; Son Tracy L. Prill (Gina) of Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren Brittany N. Crowther (Collin) of Saco, ME, Lacey R. DeBusk (Parker), of Casper, WY, and Heather J. Devoe, of Casper, WY; and Great grandchildren Peyton N. Prill and Oliver M. Crowther. She is also survived by her siblings Larry Robertson (Shirley), Sydney, Australia; Jim Sturdevant (Debra), Sheridan, WY; Ruth Graham, Tooele, UT; and Beverly Jackson (Gale Zeke), Casper, WY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy will be laid to rest at the family plot in Sheridan. No services are planned at this time per her request.
