Jeffrey Lee FRENCH 1947 - 2018 SHS 1965

Jeffrey Lee French, 70, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Sheridan V.A. Medical Center.

He was born September 19, 1947 in Columbus, Montana to Arthur and Mildred (Mock) French.

Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War in Germany as an Army Airborne Paratrooper.

Jeff worked at Yellowtail Dam and Flaming Gorge Dam in Utah as a clerk, Kiewit Mine for five years, Army Corps of Engineers, and as a government mail room clerk for Unisys in Minnesota. Later, Jeff became ill and had multiple surgeries in the past 20 years, which kept him from working. He had a big heart and opened his home to many young people, relatives and others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; three brothers, Steven, Tim and Jim; great nephew, Sean Mikesell; and a half-brother, Artie.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Mildred of Sheridan; sister, Jean Brunckhorst of Billings; brother, John French of Orangedale, CA; aunt, Rose Smith of Denver; three half-sisters, Christy, Johana and Etta; half-brother, Leland; step daughter, Sherrie; three step brothers, Marvin, Richard and Raymond; three step grandsons, Brandon, Chad and Nathan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no services planned.
