Robert E. “Bob” Williams, 67, of Cheyenne, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Davis Hospice Center.

He was born December 13, 1943 in Sheridan, Wyoming and had lived here since 1971 with prior residence in Sheridan.

Mr. Williams was an appraiser for the Department of Revenue for the State of Wyoming for thirty-two years until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne, a life member of the Elks Club, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Shrine Club.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. “Betsy” Williams of Cheyenne, whom he married August 18, 1962 in Story, Wyoming; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Brett and Kimberly Williams of Socorro, New Mexico; one daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Tim Ingalls of Beulah, Wyoming; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Dick” and Lucy Williams of Beaufort, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Tess, Brooke, Cort, Jamie, Brandi, Taylor, Randi, Mandi and Josh; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Audriina, and Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold “Bill” and Margaret Williams; two brothers, H. Keith Williams and Neal Williams and one sister, Darlene Williams.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Elks Cemetery in Sheridan, Wyoming with Reverend Don Derryberry officiating.

Friends who wish may contribute to the COMEA Shelter in Cheyenne. Mr. Williams’ friends are invited to join the family for a reception before the service at the Wingate Inn in Sheridan at 11:30 a.m.
