Former Sheridan resident Seth E. Gwinn, 63, of Fremont, Neb., died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Golden Living Valhaven Nursing Home in Valley, Neb.

Memorial services are 7 p.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. A reception will follow at Platte Valley Church of Christ in Fremont.

Born April 25, 1946, in Seattle, he grew up in Sheridan, the son of adoptive parents Gerald and Jean Gwinn. He was a 1964 graduate of Sheridan High School.

He moved to Madison, Wis., in 1964, attending college for one year.

He moved to the Fremont and Omaha, Neb., area in 1974.

He was employed at Boys Town in the planned giving department for 25 years, retiring in 2005.

He married Janice L. Inmon on Aug. 2, 1985, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cassie and Kylee of Fremont; his stepmother, Mary S. (Tripalin) Gwinn of Salt Lake City; and two brothers, Geoff and Joe Tripalin, both of Madison.
