Michael B. Baxter passed away on March 20, 2017 following an extended illness at his home in Billings, MT. Born May 1, 1946, he was the only son of Neil and Maxine Baxter. He also had a younger sister name Patricia . Michael graduated from Sheridan High School in 1964. On March 5, 1965, he married his high school sweetheart Shirley Ellis (Roberts) and had two children Lisa and David.

He received his B.S. on May 25, 1991 from Pacific Lutheran University and was a Registered Nurse for 25 years specializing in Neurology.

On May 31, 2010, he married long time friend Debra Kay Showers of Boise, ID. Unfortunately, she passed just months later.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister Patty as well as his wife Debra. He leaves behind his children Lisa Gilbertson, Dave Baxter (Mandy) and three grandchildren Jake, Ally and Stevie. Cremation was carried out by The Cremation and Funeral Gallery in Billings, MT. His children will hold a private celebration of life followed by a Memorial Mass planned in the near future.
