SHERIDAN - Memorial services for Sheridan resident Jack Wasson Jr., 60, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 4, at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan.

He died Sept. 30, 2003, at his home.

Born April 1, 1943, in Tooele, Utah, he was the son of Jack and Marie (Felde) Wasson; and graduated from Sheridan High School.

Most of his time was spent helping others in the community with their personal problems. He provided a large elk hunting camp for others to visit and hunt with him. Each Christmas season, he played Santa Claus for the Dog and Cat Shelter's benefit, "Pet Pictures with Santa."

He loved hunting and fishing in the Big Horn Mountains, leatherwork, and recording movies from television.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Wasson of Wimbledon, N.D., and James Wasson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; sister, Shirley McPheeters of Sheridan; and brother, Don Wasson of Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
