Donna Faye THAYER Yarrington 1942 - 2015 SHS 1962

Donna Faye (Thayer) Yarrington, 70, beloved wife of Ron Yarrington, loving mother of Dave, Bob, Connie Yarrington, and devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren, passed away on November 15, 2013.

Donna was born December 29, 1942 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Virgina (Bixby) Miller and Vincent Miller, and later adopted by Beula and Neil Thayer.

She was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Thayer and her step-brothers and sisters Jim Kelsey, Bill Kelsey, Elsie Hammett, Ardis Bowman, and Frank Kelsey.

She attended Sheridan High School, graduating in 1962.

Donna married Ron, her husband of 51 years, in Sheridan on August 11, 1962. They lived in Sheridan until November, 1962, at which point they moved to Casper, Wyoming where Ron began a career with Mountain States Telephone. Dave and Bob joined the family in Casper. In 1965, they moved to Denver, Colorado where they spent most of their lives together. Connie joined them in Denver, and they have remained there except for a brief two year move to Chandler, Arizona.

Donna had many interests and hobbies. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed family and friends foremost. She also loved to travel, show and train her American Eskimo Dogs, sew and quilt, attend the theater, and of course watch and root for the Broncos. She was passionate about her dogs and animal welfare in general, and spent years doing resuce work with American Eskimos. She always had a wonderful sense of humor, an optimistic outlook and was a friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed, but we know she has moved on to a better place. God bless her.

All services will be private.
