SHERIDAN -- Funeral Liturgy for Thomas J. Lopez, 63, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ronald Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in the Elks section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Vigil service is at 7 p.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

He died May 18, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

He was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Sheridan to Louis and Pauline (Delgado) Lopez.

He grew up in Sheridan, graduated from Holy Name School and Sheridan High School.

He served in the National Guard and worked for Hammer's Chevrolet and Shesridan Electric before going to work at Decker Coal.

He married Ranelle Johnson on Dec. 8, 1970, in Sheridan. They divorced in 1978.

He left Decker Coal in 1988 and worked for Cloud Peak Realty and then for ERA Carroll Realty.

He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Elks Lodge No. 520, Big Horn Mountain Eagles and Karz Club.

He enjoyed playing in the pool league, playing golf, restoring cars, socializing and care for people.

Survivors include his son, Matt, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughter, Amy Ross of Willcox, Ariz.; brother, John Lopez of Sheridan; sisters, Molly Jones of Kirby, Mont.; Francey Armstrong of Great Falls, Mont.; Ann Campos of Santa Paula, Calif.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
