GILLETTE -- Graveside services for Pamela Dennis Sampson, 62, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2007 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Chad Brucklacher of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating.

She died May 25, 2007 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital due to complications from injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born on July 13, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Kenneth and Jean (Bechtold) Harper. She moved to Sheridan in her senior year of high school, where she graduated from Sheridan High School.

She spent many years working as a nurses’ aide at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital, and then transferred to the Sheridan Veterans Administration Hospital where she worked as a ward secretary until she retired.

After retiring, she moved to Upton until the death of her husband, Sam, and then moved to Gillette, where she remained until her death.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, where she spent many years playing on the dart ball leagues. She also enjoyed fishing with her dear friend, Vera.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Dennis of Sheridan and Deborah L. McElhiney of Gillette; one brother, Kenneth Harper of Aldan, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
