Robert Allan Ewan, 73, of University Place passed away on August 4, 2017.

Bob was born in Sheridan, WY on May 29, 1944.

After receiving his Master's and PhD in mathematics from the University of Nebraska, Bob began working as an actuary at CNA in Chicago. While there, he met the love of his life, Ann Swain, and they were married in Wyoming in 1976.

In 1979, Bob and Ann moved to Tacoma where Bob began working for Schwarz Shera.

In 1990, Bob became president of Trusteed Plans Service Corporation, a TPA. He continued leading the company until his death last week.

Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann; daughter Lindsay Rashid (Ali) and granddaughters Olivia and Emma; daughter Katie Collins (Jordan) and granddaughter Elliott; and sisters Linda Arbaugh (Dana) and Jeannie Ewan.

Bob was preceded in death by sister Mary Beth Lorenzen.

Bob truly loved his work, enjoyed singing in his church choir, and most of all, cherished his family. He treasured being a new grandfather, and was a devoted husband to Ann.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m. at University Place Presbyterian Church.

Financial gifts or blood donations may be given to Cascade Regional Blood Services, as Bob was a dedicated blood donor for the past 30 years.
