CASPER -- The family of Margaretta "Marge" J. Lauters, 63, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home; cremation will follow.

Inurnment services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2007 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.

She died March 14, 2007 at Wyoming Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born Dec. 1, 1943 in Livingston, Mont., to Henry and Katherine David (Peterson).

She was raised in Sheridan until she moved to Casper in 1968.

She worked for Johnny Appleseed Greenhouse for 20 years.

She married Richard J. Lauters in 1986 in Las Vegas, Nev. Together they enjoyed traveling to air shows where they would race their Formula One planes. Every year they would compete in the Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show.

She received her private pilot’s license at the age of 22. Together, they shared a love for flying. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her children and grandchildren were a very important part of her life. She was affectionately known to all as “Mamoo.”

She is survived by a daughter, Cody Marie Williams, and a son, Emil Williams, both of Casper; two brothers and their wives, James David of Sheridan and Vernon David of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and both parents.
