Elgin Robert Streeter left this life on April 3, 2023, in Elko Nevada.

Elgin was born on March 22, 1942, in Sheridan WY to Steve and Opal Streeter. He attended school in Sheridan and later enlisted in the US Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the Sheridan area.

He married Jane Timar of Buffalo on February 1, 1973. Together, they owned and operated several businesses while living in Wyoming, Colorado, California, Arizona, and Nevada

Elgin loved to camp, play cards, travel, and spend time with family.

Elgin was preceded in death by his wife Jane, son Don, parents Steve and Opal, brother Eldon (Bub), sister-in-laws Diane Streeter and Jessie Timar, brother-in-laws George Bingham and Louis, Jimmy, and Milt Timar.

He is survived by a daughter in law, Arla. Granddaughters Heaven and Mary, great-grandson Memphis, brother Oliver, aunts Pearl Kukuchka and Estella Wright, sister-in-laws Betty Carlock and Sharon Timar, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life for Elgin, Jane, and Don will be held on July 1st at 11:30 at the Hettinger Group Picnic Area. Lunch will be provided. Bring a camp chair and a favorite side dish if you wish. We welcome everyone to come and share your memories.
