SHERIDAN -- A memorial service for Sheridan resident Norma Jean (Steel) Hebbert, 64, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 8, at First Christian Church in Sheridan by Pastor Doug Goodwin.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan.

She died Nov. 3, 2005, at Westview Health Care Center.

Born Feb. 21, 1941, in Sheridan, she was the daughter of Marie C. (Cohn) and William A. Steel; and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1961.

In June 1967, she married Ed Hebbert.

She enjoyed attending church, singing in the church choir, and all activities there; craftwork; helping others; and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her brother, Bill Steel of Sheridan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
