Memorial services for Robert Lee Reinhart will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery chapel ( 80 Veterans Road, Evansville). Cremation has taken place. He died Monday, Mar. 23, 2015, at the Wyoming Medical Center following a short illness.

The son of Carolyn and David L. Reinhart, Bob was born Jan. 27, 1943 in Sheridan. As an outstanding athlete at Sheridan High School, he earned varsity letters in basketball and football and was named to the Wyoming all-state basketball team in his senior year. Bob also was an all-star infielder for Sheridan's American Legion baseball team. During a critical game in Billings, Mont., he turned an unassisted triple play.

Heavily recruited by several universities, Bob elected to attend Idaho State University on a full-ride basketball scholarship. As a student athlete in Pocatello, he met and later married Carol Gill. They are the parents of three children – Brandi, David, and Jennifer. Bob was a caring and devoted father. He earned a B.S. degree in business administration and a ROTC commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army. Bob served on active duty in Oklahoma and Korea before leaving the Army with the rank of captain. He, Carol, and Brandi moved to Laramie where he earned a master's degree from the University of Wyoming.

Bob joined Boise Cascade Lumber as a junior executive and began climbing the corporate ladder. During his successful career, the family was able to live in many places, including London, England.

A critical turn was taken in his career path when Bob left the corporate world to launch his own office supply company in Casper. A few years later, his thriving company – Something Special Stationary – was acquired by Wyoming Stationary. With his cousin and close friend, Jim McKenna, Bob then launched Atlas Office Products. He remained active in the company until his retirement in 2012.

Carol and Bob divorced in 1988. On Aug. 17, 1991, Bob married Sally De Adams of Casper. A believer in giving back to his community, Bob practiced what he preached. He was president of the Casper Rotary club and a steadfast supporter of Sally's advocacy for animals and the Casper Humane Society. When Sally brought home strays, Bob found room. When Sally adopted, Bob adapted.

While in England, Bob embraced the sport of soccer . He brought the game with him when he returned to America and was instrumental in establishing soccer in high schools and bringing competitive soccer to Wyoming. Thousands of youth remember Bob as their coach and mentor..

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by Sally and their blended family – Brandi (David) VanEtten, Meridan, Idaho; Jennifer (Rob) Chase, Boise, Idaho; David (Michelle) Reinhart, Boise; and Colt Adams, Casper. He also is survived by grandchildren Logan Staudt, Griffin Staudt, Garret VanEtten, Courtney Chase, Robbie Chase, and Caleb Reinhart; by his sister, Nancy R. Shelton, Laramie; his brother, David Thomas Reinhart, Fort Collins, Colo.; and sisters-in-law Sherri Goddard, Powell, and JimaLe Simpson, Yuma, Ariz.
