Marthafern "Marty" Sexton Wright Bacon, 67, died December 11, 2009, at her home in Farmington, NM, of complications of ovarian cancer.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held in Sheridan, WY in July, 2010.

Marthafern was born March 24, 1942 in Phillipi, West Virginia to Virginia Linger Wright and Dr. Eugene O. Wright. She moved to Sheridan with her parents when she was three years old. She attended Sheridan schools graduating from Sheridan High School in 1960.

She attended Sheridan College, Goucher College, Baltimore, MD and graduated from the University of Wyoming.

She taught school for many years in Anchorage, AK. and Deaver, WY.

She married Aldrich Kuchera Sept. 1, 1967 and was blessed with two daughters, Virginia Anne and Mandana Louise. They were divorced in 1976.

She married the love of her life, Richard Dean Bacon, on May 18, 1983 in Deaver, WY.

She enjoyed doing genealogy, knitting, crocheting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fern Morgan Linger and Freeman Sexton Linger, parents and her brother, Major Eugene O. Wright II.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Farmington, NM; her daughters, Virginia (John) "Ginny" Anne Corbett, Sewickeley, Pa and Mandana (Mandy) Louise Kuchera, Farmington, NM; and three grandchildren, Chelsie Morgan Corbett, Connyre Anne Corbett and John Aldrich Corbett, Sewickley, PA.
