Robert G. Miller, age 66, of Banner, WY died Wednesday, March 04, 2009, in Westview Health Care Center, Sheridan, WY.

Robert was born June 3, 1942, in Sheridan to Robert & Peggy (Townsend) Miller.

Robert grew up and graduated high school in Sheridan.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Coral Sea stationed in Okinawa as a jet engine mechanic. After the service, he returned to the family ranch near Sheridan.

Robert married Mary Zowada on April 4, 1964, in Sheridan. They lived on the ranch and owned and operated Miller Cattle Co. on Piney Creek. They retired in 1999 and moved to Murphy Gulch. They were married for 44 years. Mary died in October, 2008.

Robert enjoyed being in the mountains four wheeling, camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved flying radio controlled airplanes with his grandson Michael and watching grandson Quentin play football for Big Horn High School.

Robert was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Bovee.

Robert is survived by his daughters Lori Miller of Sheridan and Chris Browning of Gillette, WY and two grandsons.

Funeral service will be 10:00am on Saturday (Mar. 7th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with John Krezelok officiating. Interment will be private in Mount Hope Cemetery, Big Horn, WY. Military rites are by the American Legion and the Wyo. National Guard. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
